Why we do what we do

Millions of people in Canada lack access to their health care information, while health care providers often have big gaps in their patients’ health record histories. This reality prevents each from being able to make the best, safest, and most personalized care decisions.

Today, you can easily track just about any piece of personal information—from financial to commercial, right down to your last coffee order. Emails, messages, bank balances are a few taps away on our phones, while vital health information like blood tests, clinical notes, and imaging are often presented in unfriendly formats that are hard to understand, and can only be retrieved through time-consuming, expensive, and archaic processes.

These legacy systems that the healthcare industry has relied on for so long not only affect patients, but make it virtually impossible for care providers to share information between themselves and with their own patients. Inefficient modes of everyday communication like fax and mail are the norm. The healthcare industry has been flying blind for far too long. And this is hampering our collective ability to deliver and access high quality care.

Dot Health has arrived on the scene to put the legacy of inefficiency, fragmentation and frustration behind us and put forth a bold new vision of how health care information should work for people in Canada. We help individuals and their health care providers gather vital personal health information all in one place. Faster. Cheaper. Securely.

We also believe that understanding health information is just as important as having easy access to it. For individuals, we do this through beautiful visualizations, contextual explanations of medical jargon, and the ability to chat with our resident physician. For providers, we understand the need to be able to view trends at a glance and prioritize relevant information first. With the help of thoughtful, contextual presentation, Dot Health helps everyone in the healthcare community make the most informed decisions.

‍The health technology space is riddled with unexpected, complex challenges and a profound level of inefficiency. We've assembled a team of people that are resilient, forward-thinking, and unafraid to challenge this status quo. Centralizing people's health information in one place is challenging. We’re looking to work with someone who not only believes in the work that we do, but also exhibits the tenacity, precision, and focus to build the best digital health platform the world has seen. If this sounds like something you would be interested in, keep reading!

What are we looking for?

We’re looking for an early career generalist motivated by our mission at Dot. Dot Health has two distinct product offerings: for patients, and for health care providers. Both are equally important in building a robust network for secure health data transactions. This role is perfect for someone with great communication skills, both in writing and over the phone, and someone who is willing and able to learn quickly.

  • You have an understanding of the customer service journey and how to communicate effectively and efficiently
  • You're comfortable learning our internal platform to handle account management and client requests
  • You’re willing to stay up to date and ahead of the curve when it comes to shifts and changes in health care policy, industry, and technology
